EQUIPMENT

PYHA has full sets of equipment, skates and helmets for a limited number of players. Equipment will be checked out to families on a first come first serve basis and will require a $200 deposit check.  Jerseys will also be provided by PYHA. For any equipment not turned in at the end of the season, the player will be assessed full replacement cost. Email our equipment manager(s) at  dylan.sweeny@princetonyouthhockey.com or jeremy.uhrich@princetonyouthhockey.com for questions regarding equipment.

Please check calendar below for equipment check out dates and times.

TYPICAL SEASON

As a Mite family you can expect to have ice times 2-3 times per week. Almost every Saturday and Sunday will be practice or a game and another practice may occur in the middle of the week. Dryland will also be up to once a week depending on the Mite level you player is in. Once the outdoor rink is ready to go we will also have practices outside as well. Mite teams are typically in 2 jamborees, our home jamboree, and one other one within an hour travel distance.

Mite Assessment Criteria

During mite assessments all players were graded by a mixture of coaches on their ability to skate, handle the puck, passing, game play, and attitude (Tiger Code), and then placed on the appropriate team/level.

Below is a document with the skills they were tested on and a sample grading sheet.
