This page will be helpful as you begin the exciting and rewarding experience of youth hockey. In our not so humble opinion, it is one of the best sports for building character, as well as developing confidence, teamwork, and a solid work ethic… it is also tons of fun!!
Early years, for a new player, are typically spent in our mite program (3rd/4th grade and under). This program is all about fun, learning to skate and developing basic skills. Your child is NOT required to know how to skate or play hockey. They WILL be able to skate in no time and you’ll be surprised at how quickly they learn and catch on.
You can start playing hockey at any age. It is NOT a requirement to have play at the mini-mite or even the mite levels. It is never too late to start and learn to play the great game of hockey.
We will provide everything that your child will need for hockey. There is a deposit required (uncashed check) for the equipment and skates. Our goal is to make your hockey experience as economical and rewarding as possible.
Here are additional resources provided by Minnesota Hockey for anyone new to hockey.
